Raymond Charles Root, of Waverly, passed away April 24, 2016. He was born December 6, 1925 in Blair, NE. He was a loving husband and a great father and very active in children’s activities. He also loved the arts and music.
Family members include his loving wife, Viola “Sandy” Root; children, Sarah Root, Christopher (Melissa) Root; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Joshua, Caleb, and Shiana; 2 sisters, Helen and Billie. Preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, and 1 brother.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (4-27-16) at the First United Methodist Church of Waverly, 14410 Folkestone St., with Rev. Scott Shreve officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Waverly, NE.
