Ralph Eldon Rodgers

July 7, 1946 - December 4, 2022

Ralph Eldon Rodgers, 76, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on December 4, 2022. He was born on July 7, 1946, in North Platte, NE, to Ralph and Vivian (Schelabarger) Rodgers. (Ralph) Eldon was a veteran of the US Army and served on the DMZ in Korea. He worked at Archer Daniels Midland Company in Lincoln for 27 years, many of which he served as production supervisor. After moving to Oklahoma in 1996, he worked for Langston’s Western Wear for 14 years, opening and managing a store in Norman for a time.

Eldon is survived by his wife Debbie; daughters Christel Benfatti of Eugene, OR, and Amber Rodgers of Mesa, AZ; and five grandchildren Jackson Giles, Kaitlynn Brown, Chloe Waters, Christina Waters, and Derick Velarde.

He is preceded in death by his biological father, Ralph C. Rodgers, and the parents who raised him, Vivian and Lawrence Halsted.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022, starting at 4:30 PM and followed by a Celebration of Life service beginning at 6:00 PM at Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Dr, Lincoln, NE 68516.

A graveside committal service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Omaha National Cemetery, 14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, NE 68138.

Memorials may be sent to the Salvation Army.

My fondest memories of Eldon are remembering his (often inappropriate) jokes he would bring daily into the break room in the ADM office. He always had a grin on his face and it would light up with humor….. May you rest in peace old friend.
