Norman Ray Monroe

Norman Ray Monroe, 84, of Lincoln passed away September 5, 2018. Born April 5, 1934 in Hamburg, IA to William and Ollie Mae (Asbury) Monroe. Served 53 years in law enforcement , first with Lincoln Police Dept. and then with Lancaster County Sheriff’s Dept. U. S. Navy Veteran. Member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, Masonic Lodge and Sesostris Shrine. He was a ham radio operator.

Family members include his wife Cynthia; daughters Pamela Wakeman, Deborah (Henry) Oliveros, and Julie Springer, all of Lincoln; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sister Marilyn Mortensen, Temperance, MI; nieces, nephews and Floyd the cat. Preceded in death by parents, daughter RaeLeen Formanek, granddaughter Stephanie Oliveros Wever.

Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Monday (9-10-18) St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 2325 South 24th Street.

Memorials to the family for future designation.

No Visitation/Cremation.
