Nancy was a firm believer in Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She shared these beliefs with her family and friends. She was a teacher, a day care director, and an office administrator, but her love was her children and family. She loved playing all types of games with her kids and grandkids, traveling, and volunteering. She and Steve attended the First Free Church in Lincoln for several years.
Celebrating her life and treasuring her memory are her husband Steve of Lincoln; brothers Bill (Jodi) Reckmeyer of Bonita Springs, Florida and Dick (Jan) Reckmeyer of Flagstaff, Arizona; her children Chris (Mary Beth) Carsten of Lincoln, Angie (Darin) Miller of Omaha, and Charlie (Amy) Carsten of Bolivar, Missouri; Grandchildren are Ryan (Alicia), Micah, Julia, Emily, Benjamin, Abbigail, Jacob, Elijah, and Gabrielle; Great-Grandchildren are Eleanor and Heidi. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 16, 2026, at First Free Church, 3280 So. 84th Street in Lincoln, NE. Burial to be held at a later date.
