Mary LaVerne Hunt, 83, of Lincoln, died Thursday (8-15-13). Born (2-17-30) in Lincoln, NE to Robert W. and Juanita (Wilcox) Schlotz. Homemaker. Member of Cheney United Methodist Church, U.M.W., Lancaster Women’s Chorus and a volunteer at Holmes Lake Manor.
Family members include her daughters, Carol (Robert) Boyd, Simi Valley, CA, Julie (Tom) Paris, Friend, NE; sons, James (Sheryl) Hunt, Lincoln, Wesley Hunt, Hemingford, NE; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sisters, JoAnn Nelson, Minnesota, Joyce Albright, Omaha, NE; brother, James Johnstone, Fremont, NE. Preceded in death by parents, husband Lee, daughter Peggy, grandson Devon.
Funeral Service: 10:30 am Monday (8-19-13) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Burial in Cheney Cemetery.
