September 24, 1937 - May 17, 2024

Mary Ann (Edwards) Stuefer, age 86, left her earthly body into Heaven on May 17, 2024, at home with her family by her side.

Mary was born on September 24, 1937 in St. Edward, Nebraska, to Anna (Rieken) and Herschel Edwards.

Mary is survived by her husband, Dayle, and her much adored five sons – Greg (Kate), Mark (Kim), William (Sandra), Robert (Brenda), and Glen (Jacque). Her grandchildren – Bryon, Natalie, Cory, Joshua, Travis, Sheena, Kyle, Jennifer, Samantha, Caleb, and Nicholas. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and her sisters Shirley Townley, Sharon (John) Kielian, and Trudy (Allan) Carpenter.

She met her future husband, Dayle Stuefer, when she was 16 years old. After dating for two years they were married in Columbus, NE. They later moved to Lincoln where they started a family business.

Mary had a full and active life. She was an avid bowler and bingo player. She loved fishing, the Kansas City Royals, finding treasures at garage sales for her family, country music (especially Alan Jackson), solving complicated puzzles, crocheting, and board games. Mary had a wonderful singing voice. She is also a breast cancer survivor. Most of all, however, Mary loved spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Joyce Taylor, Darlene Latimer, Glenda Kilburn, and Connie Bird.
