Linda dedicated her career to UNL before retiring and embracing her passions. Spending time with family and friends was paramount to her, and she created countless joyful memories with them. For over 20 years, she shared a special partnership with Mike (Dennis Brown), enjoying lively evenings of dancing and karaoke. Her apartment building was a hub of camaraderie, where she looked forward to playing cards with her dear lady friends.
Linda was a woman of strong character and could always be counted on to be there for anyone at any time. Traits that she passed on to her beloved daughter, Samantha. The bond with her granddaughter, Mikahla, held a special place in Linda’s heart, and their time spent together was treasured. The three of them spent many days visiting friends and family, shopping or going to dinner together. She also deeply cherished her visits to Florida to see her son, Michael, and his family. Her grandchildren were her world, and she embraced every opportunity to be with them. Some of her happiest moments were spent on air boat rides, marveling at the alligators, and relaxing on the sunny shores of Cocoa Beach.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Melvin Pence; her sister, Carol Mowry; her sister-in-law, Jeannie Green; and many other cherished family members and friends.
Her memory will be lovingly carried on by her son, Michael and his wife LeAnn, along with her grandsons, Keegan and Ryland, all of Florida; her daughter, Samantha Pence of Lincoln; her granddaughter, Mikahla Oziah and her fiancé Samuel Lindgren of Lincoln; her brother, Richard Green of Lincoln; her sister, Vicky McCumber of Omaha; and numerous other family members and friends.
Please join us as we gather to honor the incredible life of Linda Green-Pence on Saturday July 12, 2025 at Easterday Recreation Center (6130 Adams St, Lincoln 68507) from 1-4 pm. All who knew and loved Linda are warmly invited to attend and share their stories, celebrating the beautiful life she lived.
Though our hearts may be heavy, let us come together to remember her vibrant spirit, cherish the memories we shared, and find some peace in the love and support of one another.
