Larry Laverne Fell, 61, of Lincoln, went to be with our Lord on January 22, 2013. Born on May 7, 1951 in Dixon, IL. He loved sports, and played basketball during college in IL, where he met his wife. Having his grandchildren and family around was at the center of his life. He loved his home in the country, where he made accommodations for the grandkids to play and have fun.
Larry was a devout Christian and an Elder of Faith Bible Church. He had a passion for learning and reading about history and the bible, and would take anyone up for coffee and a conversation about scripture. He had an entrepreneurial spirit that drove his success in business. His most recent endeavor, was in a Lincoln based company Jencyn Medical which he founded and owned. Outside of his professional life, Larry enjoyed many hobbies, including fishing, gardening, and exercising at the YMCA.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary; mother Berneice McFalls, Sterling, IL; daughter and son-in-law, Jenni and Brian Workman, Lincoln; son, Jeff and fiance Mindy, Westminster, CO; sister, Gail Jeanblanc, Sterling, IL; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Dave Temple, Morrison, IL; brother and sister-in-law. Ron and Barbara Fell, Fairfield, IL; sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Frank Spielman, Sterling, IL; half-sister, Stacy Fell, IL; grandchildren, Taylor, Tyler, Teyton, and Tysen Workman, all of Lincoln; Tori, Grace, and Saige Fell, all of Westminster, CO; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Lyle Fell.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Friday (1-25-13) at Faith Bible Church, 6201 S. 84th with Pastor Tom Rempel officiating.
Memorials to the church. Prior committal service 9:30 am Friday at Cheney Cemetery.
