Dear Mike and Family: Please accept my sincerest condolences. Karen was a dear friend, a trusted colleague, and a great supporter of the Civil and Environmental Engineering program at UNL. Karen worked very hard on behalf of our Department and College, and over the years she brought the program tremendous support, and helped us build many strong bridges with our alumni and friends in Nebraska and throughout the country. We will always remember Karen as an outstanding ambassador, and more importantly as a very dear friend. With thoughts and prayers, Mohamed Dahab Emeritus Professor and Past Chair
