Jeff attended Lincoln Southeast High School, graduating in 1998, where he excelled in football for two seasons as a two-way contributor on the gridiron. He excelled in numerous other recreational sports and activities during his school years.
His other passions included a constant pursuit of thrills and adventure, enjoying the outdoors, off-roading ATVs, and racing Jet Skis at the family cabin north of Ashland. He pursued constant modifications to many cherished trucks over the years.
Jeff’s Independence Day work as a licensed pyrotechnics operator endeared him to hundreds over the course of nearly two decades. He led crews and conducted major fireworks displays each year.
Jeff worked in the family hardware business as a teen and then spent time at Amigo’s Restaurant before entering the world of home repair and remodel with his father, Jim, for over 20 years. He later worked at Echo Electric Supply.
Jeff’s greatest accomplishment and proudest role was that of a loving husband and devoted father.
Jeff leaves behind his wife, Stacy (Murray) Stauffer, of 21 years; daughters Alyssa and Aubree; mother Nancy Orsborn; father Jim Stauffer; stepfather Dean Orsborn; and father-in-law Dan (Marcia) Murray, all of Lincoln; twin brother Joel of Colorado Springs, CO; and sister Kendra of Lincoln. He is also survived by step-brothers Adam (Rachel) Orsborn (step-nieces Hannah and Madelyn) of Winston-Salem, NC, and Paul (Charlotte) Orsborn (step-niece Zoe) of Rural Hall, NC; Sister-in-law Dana (Clayton) Jackson (nephews Gavin and Weston); Aunt Leslie (Kenny, deceased) Brooker of Lincoln; Aunt Shelly (Tim) Stroup of Lansing, KS; Uncle Gary (Mary Jo Rasmussen) Morgan of Minneapolis, MN; and Aunt Peggy (Rob) Tewes of Malcolm, NE, and many beloved cousins.
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents Cliff (Joyce) Morgan; grandparents Cleve (Sally) Stauffer; and mother-in-law, Margaret Murray, all of Lincoln.

Let’s come together to share memories, love and laughter – just the way Jeff would have wanted. And Jeff would definitely not want any suits…..dress is casual.
