James Watkins, 94, passed away June 13, 2015 in Lincoln, NE. He was born May 10, 1921 in Milford, NE. He served in the U.S Army in World War II from 1942-1946. He was a member at Heritage Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Elder and a Deacon. In 1940 he graduated from Hower Vocational School in Akron, OH. He worked 2 years at Goodyear Aero Space Craft before moving to Lincoln, NE. where he retired Goodyear in 1986. He was also a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his sons; David Watkins, and Christian Watkins from Lincoln, NE. Daughter Lisa (N. Chris) Nielsen from Omaha, NE. One granddaughter, Melissa Kobylasz. His sister F. Jean Ottisen from Monroe, WI. Four great grandchildren; Kayleigh, Norah, Joseph, and Dominic. Preceded by both parents and wife, Anna Watkins.
Services will be held 1:00 Wednesday June 17 at Roper and Sons Chapel. 4300 “O” Street Lincoln, NE. Interment will be located at Lincoln Memorial Park. Visitations will be from 2:00-8:00 Tuesday June, 16 at Roper and Sons.
