Dan E. Munn, 82, of Waverly, died Monday, October 15, 2012. Born Rokeby, Nebraska on February 18, 1930 to Ross and Rose Mary (Birdsall) Munn. Graduate of Grant High School and Lincoln Business College. Managed several grain co-ops in Nebraska and Kansas, retiring in 1989 from the Omaha Grain Company. A member of the First United Methodist Church in Waverly, Beatrice Chamber of Commerce, Eagles Club, outstanding Jaycee Award recipient, and a life member of the FFA. Dan was a former volunteer fireman in Garrison, Nebraska. He also taught Sunday School, was a youth leader, scoutmaster, and baseball coach.
He is survived by his wife: Helen; sons: Don (Deborah) Munn, Topeka, KS, Dick Munn and friend Debra Erickson, York, NE; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister: Mary (Norbert) Buss, Grant, NE; brothers: Ross (JoAnne) Munn, Waverly, NE, William and Joe Munn, both of Lincoln, NE; nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by parents.
Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2012 at First United Methodist Church, 14410 Folkestone, Waverly, NE with Rev. James Wallasky officiating. Prior private interment.
