Dorothy M. Slocum, 76, Lincoln, died Saturday (3-27-10). Born (4-18-33) in Roca, Nebraska to Chester and Oneita (Hall) Cunningham. Dorothy was a custodian for Lincoln Public Schools for 26 years.
Family members include: sons, daughters-in-law: Mike and Jean Slocum, Dunbar, NE, Jimmy and Gail Slocum, Virginia Beach, Va; daughters, sons-in-law: Shirley and Tom Mahoney, Jefferson City, MO, Kathy and Gene Robotham, Pleasant Dale, NE; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister: Roberta McCrary San Antonio, TX; brother and spouse: Robert and Lupe Cunningham, Belleville, WA.
Preceded in death by: husband: Clarence Slocum; both parents, 4 brothers, 2 daughters, and 1 son.
Memorials may be designated to Lincoln Public Schools Foundation.
Funeral Service: Saturday (4-3-10) at 10:00 am. at Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street; Rev. Steve Johnson officiating.
Visitation beginning noon Friday with family greeting friends from 6:00-7:30 pm.
