Kenneth P. Beeman, age 67, of rural Shelby died on July 13, 2014 at the Butler County Hospital in David City, Nebraska. He was born 2-1-1947 in Scottsbluff, NE to Paul and Freda (Bernhardt) Beeman.
He is survived by spouse, Garlyn, and daughters Darla (Stephan) Andersen of Lincoln, and Darci (Ki) Fanning of Eagle, and grandchildren Blake & Krista Andersen and Josie, Wyatt, Colt and Tate Fanning.
Ken attended elementary and high school in Scottsbluff, and the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, where he received his degrees.
A long time educator Ken served students at East Butler Schools in Brainard, Madrid Wheatland, Stromsburg Public, Hyannis Public, Cedar Rapids Public, and the schools in North Platte.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1800 S. 84th on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. Casual attire is requested. Inurnment of ashes in Scottsbluff at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to the family for the benefit of special education programs for children, or to the organization of your choice.
