When I took the Pastorate of Victory Baptist Church Paul and his wife Gertrude were one of the few members left. He was always willing to do anything. He helped around the building, went with me to see people and did anything asked. He was a man who everyone respected and loved. His heart was a heart of gold. He so loved his family and would often brag on his grandchildren. He was a man who would do anything for anyone. There are not very many people like Paul in this world. We loved him. I resigned in order to move to Kansas to take a struggling church. We missed he and his family so much. When we came back to visit in the years that followed we always were welcome in their home. His smile would just light up his face! Heaven is having a party with the reunion of he, his wife and his daughter, plus everyone else! We were truly blessed to know him.
