Orpha “Dee” (Baker) Mitchell, 64, Lincoln, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday (5-26-08). Born Stromsburg, NE (2-10-1944) to Morace and Mary (Friesen) Baker. Registered Nurse – Community Blood Bank for 21 years. U.S. Army Nurse Corp. Graduate of Lincoln General Hospital School of Nursing. Member: Faith Bible Church.
Family members include husband: Roy; sons, daughter-in-law: Douglas and Lena Mitchell; Ian Mitchell and fiance Jessica Othmer, all of Lincoln; daughter: Jessica Mitchell, Los Angeles, CA; sister: Pat Spelts, Omaha, NE; brothers, sisters-in-law: Donald and Clarice Baker, Stromsburg, NE; Merwin and Barbara Twarling, Lodge Pole, NE; brother-in-law: Charlie Mitchell, Long Island, NY; sister-in-law: Corinne Baker, Stromsburg, NE; many nieces, nephews and other family members. Preceded in death by parents, sister – Arleen, brothers – Robert and Laverne.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday (5-31-08) Faith Bible Church, 6201 S. 84th Street. Pastor Tom Rempel officiating. Prior private interment.
