Lyle Adams, 75, Lincoln, died Thursday (3-25-10) after a long and courageous battle with cancer . Born (10-15-34) in Brock, Nebraska to Walter Clarence and Lee Ethel (Duey) Adams. Lyle retired from Cabelas and was previously employed at NBC. He was a member of the Draft Horse and Mule Association and enjoyed farming with mules and showing his team at fairs and events.
Family members include wife: Betty; sons, daughters-in-law: Max and Janet Adams, Norfolk, Rex and Jodi Adams, Jay and Jenny Adams, Dustin and Jonna Adams, all of Wymore; daughter, son-in-law: JoAnn and Bill Arington, Humboldt; step-daughter: Kimberly Mares, Golden, CO; step-son: Brian Barnes, Lincoln; 12 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, sister-in-law: Marvin and Doris Adams, Norfolk; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by parents and one brother.
Rosary: 7:00 p.m. Thursday (4-8-10) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
Funeral Mass:11:00 a.m. Friday (4-9-10) St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 7601 Vine Street. Fr. Lyle Johnson officiating.
