Larry W. Post

March 1, 1945 - January 4, 2026

Larry W. Post, 80, of Lincoln passed away January 4, 2025. Born March 1, 1945, in Red Cloud, NE to Don and Mabel (Vest) Post.

Larry graduated from Red Cloud  City Schools Class of 1963. After moving to Lincoln he spent many years as a salesman for Westinghouse-Phillips until he retired in 2005.

Larry married Sharon Musgrove in June of 1977. They lived on an acreage in Waverly, Nebraska where he enjoyed his favorite past time of working in his shop on many projects that never quite got finished. In his free time Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap and skeet shooting and sporting clays.

Larry was a member of Lincoln Trap and Skeet. He was on the board for many years, some of those years as president of the board. Larry spearheaded the expansion of Lincoln Trap and Skeet to include Sporting Clays.

Family members include his son Dana Post (Rhonda); daughters Heather Downs (Joe) and Heidi Polson (Tim); 7 grandchildren; Ian and Quintin Post, Elijah and John (J.T.) Downs, Anna Nix(Aaron), Willow and Charlee Polson and 7 great grandchildren; sister Judy Anderson (Russ); brother Don Post. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Sharon, and sister Jane Stumpff.

Memorial service: 10:30 AM Saturday, January 17, 2026, Roper and Sons Waverly Chapel, 10851 N. 148th St. Burial in Rosehill Cemetery, Waverly.
