John Lukes, 70, Lincoln, died Tuesday (2-17-09). Born (8-22-1938) in Lincoln, NE to John and Lucille (Makovicka) Lukes. Ret. Belt Dept. – Goodyear Plant, carpenter, “John of All Trades”, hunter, loved to boat and ski. Member of Capitol City Christian Church. Tremendously loved his family and was known as “Silly Grandpa”.
Family members include wife: Lois, Waverly; daughter, son-in-law: Vicki and John Tipken; son, daughter-in-law: Gordon and Anita Lukes, all of Eagle, NE; 4 grandchildren; half-brother, spouse: Bill and Loree Southerland, Papillion, NE; uncle and aunt: Florian and Pat Makovicka; cousins.
Celebration of Life Memorial Service: Friday (3-20-09) at 11:00 AM at Capitol City Christian Church 7800 Holdrege St. Lincoln.
