Bernita A. Bray

June 10, 1918 - December 13, 2013

Bernita A. Bray, 95, formerly of Waverly, died Friday (12-13-13) in Peoria, Ariz. Born (6-10-18) in Aurora, S.D. to Alex and Christina (Jensen) Faulhaber. Homemaker. Graduate of Walton High School. Member of Grace Lutheran Church in Walton.

Bernita loved to prepare and share Sunday dinners with her children. She enjoyed gardening, sharing her homemade jams and jellies with family and friends, and baking her award winning apple pies.

Family members include daughters, Connie (Ed) Holland, Simi Valley, Calif., Bobbie (Bruce) Tanner, LaMirada, Calif., Diane (Robert) Black, Ceresco, Lynn (Robert) Berrier, Sun City, Ariz., Terrie (Darrell) Leacock, Lincoln, Robyn (Jim) Engel, Beatrice, Kim Stice and special friend Rick Carson, Waverly; son, William Everett Bray, Jr., Surprise, Ariz.; brothers, Gerald (Betty) Faulhaber, Sun City West, Ariz., Glen (Annette) Faulhaber, Goldsboro, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; many great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; husband, William E. Bray; daughter, Cheryl Bray; sisters Ruth, Gladys, Darlene and Dorothy; brother Don.

Memorial service: 1 pm Saturday (12/21) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 “O” Street with Rev. Nancy Erickson officiating.

Memorials to the Waverly Fire and Rescue. No visitation, cremation.
