Obituary

Pamela Kay Rajewich

March 4, 1949 - January 15, 2022

Pamela Kay Rajewich, 72, of Lincoln, passed away January 15, 2022. She was born March 4, 1949 in Red Wing, MN to Wayne and Betty McGlinn.

She was passionate about her family and loved all things sports, especially the Huskers. Pam was a 1967 graduate of Lincoln Northeast High School, and then continued her education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Education in 1971. She was a proud and active member of the UNL Pep Club (Tassels) and often talked about her memories as a student promoting Husker spirit on game days. Pam enjoyed teaching in a variety of schools at different levels before starting her dream job of raising a family. She frequently reminisced about her time teaching business classes at The Spalding School of Business. Pam and Jerry were united in marriage on June 9, 1973. Pam was soft-spoken, kind, and the sweetest, most selfless person. Everyone who knew her loved her. If you ever tried calling her, Pam’s phone line was often busy because she was such a good listener, and her daughters and sister always wanted to share daily events with her.

Family members include her daughters, Jennifer (Brad) Bangs, Jessica Rajewich; grandchildren, Allison and Olivia Bangs; sister Judy Keen.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Rajewich, her parents, and brother-in-law Al Keen.

Private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children and Toys for Tots. (Links below)

Jen and Jessica, my heart breaks as I read your mom’s obit. I can’t how many times that I sat next to Pam and Jessica, indoors or outside, watching and cheering for Jen and my girl compete in some contest. Win or lose, Pam was happy and encouraging because the girls gave their best effort. Life is like that. Always give our best effort with the unique abilities and determination that God gave only to each of us. My thoughts, prayers and love are with you and your family. Jay
