So sorry for your great loss. I used to be Bill and Ardy’s neighbor for many years. I remember all the fishing excursions through the years. Many times fishing from a belly boat or the Crawdad boat we would drag through fields carting our gear and a battery to run the motor. Bill was truly one of a kind. Many awesome block parties for the Fourth of July and fireworks. You will be missed.

If it wasn’t for Rock, I might not have stayed with the phone company. Always a new day working with him. Gonna miss him.

We have been neighbors of the Rockeman family for 40+ year. There been many giggles and hugs at fire pit parties, dinner get togethers where there were more than a few beers and margaritas involved. As those nights progressed, Bill shared some great stories, always with an onry grin. Bill was and always will be fondly remembered as part of our little Daveyland family we all stood together and watched over each other . We will miss his friendly wave and ‘HOWDY’ as we walk by the Rockeman home to retrieve our mail. His kindness and soft heart will also be missed making our little hood never quite the same.

So many memories growing up around Bill as a friend of Josh. Soccer games in grade school hearing him holler “boot it” trying to get Josh and I to score from mid field and beyond. I’m pretty sure he once almost got in a fist fight with a guy at a hotel pool that was being an a$$ to us kids. Maybe that was Gary Root and Randy Noonan, but Bill was there for backup! Bill was always at sporting events, soccer, football, basketball, track. Always there to cheer on his sons and their teammates. And even though from 8th grade on I towered over him, he’d always make sure I knew he could take me down. He was a good cheerleader, a great husband, and an even better father. Bill, We Love You!

I worked with Bill’s wife, Ardy for over 36 years at Brunswick/General Dynamics. Bill was was a kind and generous man with a great sense of humor… when yor got him laughing Bill would evolve into a giant squint. I enjoyed watching the family grow over the years and will miss seeing him in Mountain and outdoor themed Christmas cards. Rest easy ole boy. You will be missed by all that knew you. My thoughts are with your family.
