William J. “Bill” Gleason, 80, of Lincoln, died Friday (5-31-13). Born (10-26-32) in Chicago, IL to Harry and Mary (Mehan) Gleason. U. S. Air Force Veteran. Retired from Cliff Notes. Also worked for Security Services. Bill was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and American Legion Post #3. He was an avid Husker, White Sox, Bears and Bulls fan.
Family members include his wife, Belva; daughters, Rhonda (Pete) Schmaderer, Renee (Mike) Foley, Amy (Scott) Bourn, all of Lincoln; grandchildren, Amanda Schmaderer, Emily, Kaitlyn and David Foley, Jack and Alex Bourn; brother, Harry Gleason, Clearwater, FL. Preceded in death by parents and infant daughter.
Rosary: 7:00 pm Monday (6-3-13) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 am Tuesday (6-4-13) St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 6126 Morrill.
Memorials in lieu of flowers to the family for future designation.
Visitation: Family will greet friends from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm Monday at Roper and Sons.
