William J. “Bill” Clore, 92, of Lincoln, passed away on August 21, 2021. Born April 17, 1929, to Withrow T. and Helen (Formanek) Clore in Des Moines, IA.
Bill was a retired car salesman from Bob Ring Auto Sales, Vanice Pontiac Cadillac, Randolph Olds, and Williamson Olds Honda. He was an avid golfer who had 5 holes-in-one and who shot his age well over 100 times. He was past Vice-President of the Lincoln Municipal Golfers Association, having won their year-end championship four times as well as the Super Seniors City Championship three times. He enjoyed spending time at casinos, playing pinball and pool, and loved cars, specifically Corvette and Cadillac. Bill had a great sense of humor, was an avid Husker fan, and donated to 32 charities.
Family members include grandchildren, Staci (Brandon) Rice, Jaime (Nate) Sanks, and Brian Story; great grandchildren, Aren Rice, Kaden Sanks, and Calissa Sanks. Bill is also survived by his beloved cat, Zevo. He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Clore, and daughters Karen Story and Nancy Beardslee.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
