William Cary, Jr., 84, Lincoln, died Monday (2-7-11). Born (7-19-26) in Stanton, Nebraska to Willie Lee and Evalyn Hannah (Stiefvater) Cary. Retired Administrative Management for A.O. Smith Corp., 27 years; Manager of Human Resources for Quantum Chemical Co., 11 years. WWII Naval Air Corps Veteran. Graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University 1949; Masters Degree in Psychology from Purdue University, Lafayette, Indiana 1950. Continuous member: American Legion Post #242, Winside, NE; Chamber of Commerce, Clinton, IA. Served in a variety of civic organizations and educational organizations through the years in many cities. Loved to travel with wife worldwide. An avid golfer, and reader and also a follower of current events.
Family members include daughter: Linda C. Haehnle; son: Thomas W. Cary, both of Aurora, CO; sister: Norma Jean Koch, Santa Cruz, CA; sister-in-law: Lucille Fatino, Kansas City, MO; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, wife Audrey, sister Arlene (Fiene).
