W. Maxine Wolf, 95, Lincoln, passed away June 12, 2017. Born July 1, 1921 in Omaha, NE to Otto W. and Dora M. (Petersen) Wolf. Ret. State Editor/Journalist, Lincoln Journal Star, 42 yrs. Graduate of Edgar High School (1938) and University of Nebraska Lincoln (1942). Member of Eastridge Presbyterian Church, former member of Heritage Presbyterian Church. Maxine served as an Elder, Deacon, sang in the church choir and belonged to the Presbyterian Women of the church. She was also a member of P.E.O. Chapter BY. ‘She was always kind and generous to members of her family even when we did not reciprocate.’
Family members include her nephew, Bill Wolf, Eugene, OR; niece, Carol Wolf, Sacramento, CA; great-niece, Alanna Wolf; great-great-nieces, Angelee and Emma Cobiskey, all of Lowell, OR. Preceded in death by parents; brother and sister-in-law, Arthur F. and Maxine E. Wolf.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday (6-30-17) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street with Pastor Carl Eskridge officiating. Burial in Crown Hill Cemetery, Madison, NE.
