Vurla M. Bruce, 78, of Lincoln, NE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at home on September 9, 2017. Born on April 25, 1939. On June 9, 1956, she was united in marriage to Donald Bruce in Broken Bow, NE. She was a retired receptionist from Back to the Bible.
Vurla is survived by her daughter, Vicki (Rod) Burkey, Lincoln; sons, David Bruce, Beatrice and Miles (Becky) Bruce, Fairbury; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald; parents, and daughter Julie.
A Celebration of Vurla’s Life will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday (9-13-17) at Roper and Sons Funeral Home, 4300 ‘O’ St. Lincoln, NE. No visitation/cremation.
