Verva Bell Severns, 91, formerly of Lincoln, passed away November 15, 2016 in Hickman. Born February 7, 1925 in Marysville, Kansas to Elmer and Christina (Brennenmeyer) Morgan. Married her husband Elton on July 18, 1946 in Marysville, Kansas. She was a member of Southminster United Methodist Church and served as president of the Southwest Community Center. She worked for 15 years in the lunchroom at Merle Beattie Elementary School. Verva was an avid reader of novels and westerns. She enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing and crafts.
Family members include her husband, Elton; son, Roger (Wendy) Severns, Mankato, MN; daughter, Ellen (Mike) Last, Lincoln; sister, Virginia Hamilton, Joplin, MO; grandchildren, Donovin, Christopher and Robert Last, Elisabeth Severns; great-grandchildren, Andrea, Matalyn, Veronica, Evan Last; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Francis Morgan; and granddaughter, Jennifer Last.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Monday (11-21-16) Southminster United Methodist Church, 2915 South 16th Street with Rev. Jamie Norwich McLennan officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation: 2 – 8 p.m. Sunday with family present from 3-5 p.m. at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ St. and one hour prior to service time at the church.
