Verna Florence McLaughlin Weyers, 97, Lincoln, passed away May 21, 2017. Born June 18, 1919 in Beaver Crossing, NE to Louis and Lena (Keller) Berst. Retired in 1984, after 17 years as bookkeeper with Peterson Typesetting Company. Member of Grace Lutheran Church in Walton and Order of Eastern Star.
Family members include her daughter, Kay McLaughlin-Graff; granddaughter, Heather and Jeffrey Bloom; great-grandsons, Colin and Matthew; sisters-in-law, Eula Swarts and Mary Peterson. Preceded in death by parents; husbands, Dale McLaughlin and Wayne Weyers; 4 sisters; and son-in-law, Willard “Bill” Graff.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Friday (5-26-17) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street with Chaplain Jeff Gerdes officiating. Visitation: 3-8 p.m. Thursday with family present from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Roper and Sons. 12:30 p.m. interment in Elmwood Cemetery, Elmwood, NE.
