Velma Joan Ott, 81, of Lincoln, passed away October 1, 2016. Born November 9, 1934 in Waverly, Nebraska to Ned and Hazel (Godden) Jewett. Velma worked in Medical Records at the Ambassador for 10 years retiring in 1999 and worked part-time at Molex until 2012. She was a member of Plains Baptist Church, and Eagles Auxiliary #4111. She enjoyed reading mysteries and spending time with her family.
Family members include her daughter, Laurinda Johnson, Greenville, NC; sons, Roderic and Kendall Johnson, Lincoln; grandchildren, Jacob and Abigail Johnson; step-grandchildren, Jessie Deschane (Nick), Amber Mesinger; step-great granddaughter, Amelia Wells; brother, Harold (Dawna) Jewett, Livingston, MT; niece, nephew and several cousins. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Estel ‘Lou’ Ott.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday (10-7-16) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street with Pastor Shari Lagemann officiating.
