Taylor was known for his sense of humor, his appreciation for family, and his imagination, perseverance, and creativity. Though legally blind, his extreme nearsightedness never prevented him from pursuing his passion for art. As an artist, Taylor was always willing to try new forms and materials working across acrylic painting, graphite drawing, mixed media, jewelry making, assemblage sculpture, and screen-printing. He emerged onto the Nebraska art scene in 2012. Taylor exhibited his works at Noyes Art Gallery, Lincoln’s Haymarket Farmer’s Market, Nebraska innovation Studio, and the Red Path Gallery.
Taylor loved cooking, dining, animals-especially dogs-Lego sets, World of Warcraft video games, and cribbage with his grandparents, Willard and Ann Keller. He held the winning game of chess against Grandpa Willard- a feat never accomplished by any other family member.
Taylor fought diabetes, kidney disease, and liver failure during the final months of his life and passed away peacefully. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Taylor is survived by his parents; four sisters: Misty (David) Gartner of Doniphan, NE; Teresa (Tim) Tibbits of Lincoln, NE; Ashlea Whitney of Hickman, NE, and Edie Cruise of Germany; four nephews and three nieces.
A memorial service for Taylor will take place on Saturday, June 1st, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel on 4300 “O” St. in Lincoln, NE. Interment at Wyuka Cemetery, 3600 “O” St.
