Dear Elizabeth, how we all have missed your dear mother these past few years, but I know what joy it has brought her to be closer to you. It has always seemed to me that like you, your family lives each day from a base point of joy. I have no doubt who lit that joyful fire within all of you. To surmount life’s difficulties with her kind of even temperament and positive outlook is no easy feat, but Susan always seemed to manage it. It’s no wonder people have always loved to have her in their midst. She has well and truly passed her joyful flame to you and your beautiful children. The world is a better place for it. For her. And for you. Love you, dear girl! (Here is a photo of your mother surrounded by her Chapter AI P.E.O. sisters whom she loved so much.)
