I had the honor of working with Steve for 23 years at Hy-Vee, we teased each other a lot but always out of fun. He was a hard worker and a wonderful friend. You will be missed my friend. Prayers 🙏 for the family in your time of sorrow.

I had the pleasure of working with Steve for many years at SuperKmart. I was reminded of the many years that would greet my 2 children as they came into the store ,The children would look him up to to ask silly questions he would always have a answer. We were so glad to see the family at church and share that time together .I know that he will be sadly missed .

Steve was a great person. We worked at super k mart together and even working in different sides of the store, he was always willing to help out or make conversations. Somehow even after Kmart we’d run into each other, and we would always catch up on things and how life was going. Steve always gave great advice and I could tell he honestly enjoyed talking and cared about conversation. I used to shop at HyVee and we’d always talk and catch up. I looked forward to our conversations. Steve will be missed by the Lincoln community.

So sorry to hear of this. We are members of Christ Place Church and knew how faithful Steve was because we saw him almost every Sunday. God bless and comfort you all in the name of Jesus.

I worked with Steve at the old Hinky Dinky at 59th & Adams. He was a gentle soul, obedient almost to a fault. The last time I saw Steve he was walking south on 56th Street near the NWU campus, so I stopped and gave him a ride to his destination. I’ve always been glad that I did that small favor for him. Rest in peace!

Linda, Jim and I are so deeply sorry to hear of your beloved Steve’s passing. We have many wonderful memories of times shared with you and your family many years ago at the Foursquare church. Although our paths have not crossed often since then, will always cherish the memories and friendship. It was so wonderful to see you and your grandsons at the fair recently. We just want you to know you and all your family are in our thoughts and prayers now and in the days ahead. With love and caring, Jim and LaVonna
