Stanley R. McGill, 91, of Lincoln, died Tuesday (10-8-13). Born (10-30-21) in rural Waverly, NE to John C. and Elizabeth (Jeffery) McGill. Ret. Farmer and Head of Shipping at National Crane Company for 35 years. Member of First United Methodist Church in Waverly. He was a member of George Washington Lodge 250, A.F. & A.M., Scottish Rite, and the Sesostris Temple of the Shrine. Stan was an avid bridge player, loved to dance and read.
Family members include his wife Phyllis R,; sons, Lawrence D. (Marilyn) McGill, Salt Lake City, UT, John L. (Patricia) McGill, Waverly, NE, AFS son, Andrew (Lyn) MacKenzie, Australia; grandchildren, Lisa (Charles) Arnold, Sean (Tiffany) McGill, Marchelle (Peter) Sanchez, Mark (Agata) McGill, Mallori (Dan) DeSalle, James (Brenda) McGill, Joel (Katy) McGill; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Bowmaster; in-laws; and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, granddaughter, Lorice McGill, brothers, Harold, Richard, David and Robert.
Memorial Service: 11:00 am Saturday (10-12-13) First United Methodist Church Waverly, 14410 Folkestone with Pastor Scott Shreve officiating. Prior private burial.
