Sally Sue Wilson Roper, 79, of Lincoln passed away 12/22/16. Born August 9, 1937 in Lincoln, Nebraska to John J. and Suzanne (Burford) Wilson. Ret. math teacher for Lincoln Public Schools. Member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Kappa Alpha Theta, Junior League, and an 1958 Aksarben Countess, past board member of UNL Alumni Association and Lincoln Children’s Zoo. Sally was an avid golfer as demonstrated in winning two Club Championships at Lincoln Country Club. She loved all sports and making memories with her family. She enjoyed puzzles and her rule was never to look at the box for help. She loved to travel, venturing to Europe countless times and bringing her family with her. She was an involved grandmother, attending sporting events, dance recitals and graduations.
Family members include her husband and life partner of 55 years, Lou; daughter, Linda (Ronald) Dolezal, Columbus, NE; sons, Rich (Charly) Roper, Greensboro, NC, John (Becky) Roper, Plano, TX; grandchildren, Sara, Peter, Alex, Nicholas and Matthew Dolezal, Sylvia, Ella, Rachel and Joshua Roper; brother, Stan Boyer(Sharon) Wilson, Kearney, NE. Preceded in death by parents and grandson, Charles Dolezal.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (12-28-16) Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2110 Sheridan Blvd. with Rev. Dr. Andrew McDonald officiating. Prior private interment.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with family present from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 pm Tuesday at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ St.
