Born on September 30, 1985, Rooster lived every day with a big heart and an even bigger personality. A kid at heart, he brought laughter, love, and a bit of wild energy wherever he went. Rooster had a one-of-a-kind spirit—crazy, funny, and endlessly loving. He never met a stranger, always greeting people with his trademark, “Hi friend!,” and making them feel seen.
Rooster had a love for the outdoors—fishing and hunting with his dad and brothers, and sitting by campfires with family and friends were among his favorite pastimes. He especially cherished time spent with his daughter, Gina, whether they were out cruising, casting lines, or just enjoying arcade trips with her friends. He had a special place in his heart for Ricky and Kindra’s girls—Lydia, Elyza, and Layla—who brought him endless smiles and joy.
He loved stopping in to say hi to the kids at his mom’s in-home daycare, where his playful energy was always welcome and loved. His bond with his mom, Tammy, was one of a kind—a relationship full of love, trust, and laughter. Rooster also enjoyed spending time in the garage with his dad and friends, swapping stories, working on projects, or just hanging out with the people he loved most.
Rooster worked alongside his brother Tylor, taking on any job that needed doing—though they sometimes drove each other nuts, their bond was unbreakable. That same loyalty extended to everyone he loved.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Gina Sharping of Lincoln and Ceresco; his devoted parents, Jess and Tammy Sharping of Ceresco; his brothers, Tylor and Jesse Sharping of Ceresco; Grandparents, Lawrence and Sharon Kaiser of Ceresco and his nephew, Cole Sharping of Lincoln. He also leaves behind many aunts and uncles: Myron and Lisa Kaiser, Clint Coonrod, Curt and Teresa Sharping, Nette and Kenny Reuland, and cousins who meant the world to him: Justin and Ana Kaiser, Blaine and Jessica Kaiser, Kindra and Ricky Tvrdy, Kyle Coonrod, Jeremy and Kim Sharping, Briley and Jacey Sharping, Calla Zuraff, Rod and Kia Reuland, Jeff and Hani Reuland, Chad Cooper and many other family members and friends.
Rooster was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lynden and Betty Sharping; his aunt, Debbie (Kaiser) Coonrod; and his aunt and uncle, Kelly (Sharping) and Brian Taylor.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 3rd, from 3-6pm at the Hilltop Country Club in Wahoo, with a short prayer service beginning at 3:15 p.m. Friends and family are invited to come as they are and share stories, laughter, and memories of Rooster—who never met a stranger and always made you feel like a friend.
Rooster’s spirit lives on in the laughter he inspired, the adventures he shared, and the hearts of all who loved him.
