Ryan Scott Smith, 34, of Alvo, Nebraska, died Sunday, May 20, 2012. Born March 5, 1978 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Dean and Debbie (Kirkland) Smith. Scale Operator at Cargill Company. Owner, operator of Lawn Deere Mowing. Ryan was active in FFA and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He loved anything John Deere and Kansas Jayhawks Basketball.
Family members include his parents, Dean and Debbie; sister, brother-in-law: Keri and Jeff Ryan, Lincoln; brothers, Kile Smith, Omaha, Bryce Smith, Lincoln; grandparents, Jack and Virginia Kirkland, Lincoln; aunts, Delores Smith, Lincoln, Jane (Scott) Byram, Austin, TX; uncles, Jerry (Sue) Kirkland, Jack (Sandy) Kirkland, Jim (Denise) Kirkland, all of Lincoln; nephew, Jack Ryan; special friend, Allison Hillen, Alvo, NE; many cousins and friends. Preceded in death by grandparents Stanley and Leona Smith.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012 Bethany Christian Church, 1645 North Cotner. Rev. Daryl Lauber, officiating. Burial in Rosehill Cemetery, Waverly, NE.
