Ruth N. Engstrom, 89, of Lincoln, died Thursday (8-22-13). Born (2-8-24) in Russell, KS to Fredrick August and Elizabeth (Wolff) Ollendorf. Ret. Nurse. Worked at Johnson County Hospital, Nebraska Dept. of Health and Tabitha. Worked as a Cadet nurse during WWII (1943-1947).
Member: American Lutheran Church. Family members include son, Lowry Engstrom and friend Lori Noble; daughter, Kathryn Marie Underhill, all of Lincoln; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Lloyd; son, Lyle; sisters, Marie and Dorothy; brothers, Walter, Fred and Arthur Ollendorf.; daughter-in-law, Rose.
Funeral Service: 10:30 am Tuesday (8-27-13) American Lutheran Church, 4200 Vine Street with Pastor Henry Thorberg officiating. Burial in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Sterling, NE.
