Ruth Marie (Underwood) Goeglein

August 17, 1922 - April 7, 2023

Ruth Marie (Underwood) Goeglein, 100, passed into her Savior’s arms on April 7, 2023. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend to all that knew her.

“Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.”

Hebrews 13:5

She loved The Lord with all her heart. Ruth witnessed to family, friends, and complete strangers. She shared how The Lord had helped her throughout her earthly life. She gave hope, encouragement and love to others. The Bible verse she always shared was Hebrews 13:5, “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.”

Ruth is survived by her children, Harry G Goeglein (Patty), Cathy Umphres (LeRoy), Nancy Goeglein and Tom Coss. She had 20 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. Ruth’s sister Pat Murray (Dan), also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Harry H.C. Goeglein, parents, George G. and Clara Schoeppner Underwood; brother, George W. Underwood (Eunice); sisters, Ruby Tyler (Bob), Marion Gill (Tim), Norma Underwood, Dorothy Hier (Ebb), daughter, Connie Waller Coss, son, Thomas Goeglein, grandchild, Harry Goeglein IV; numerous other relatives.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday April 17th, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 12th & H, Lincoln, NE.

Ruth was one of he most loving, kindest, smart, beautiful women I have ever known. We shared grandchildren and became instant friends when we met. We always had so much to share when we would see each other. I will miss her. 💗🙏
