Ruth Jean Williamson, 83, Lincoln, died Sunday (2-12-12). Born (11-30-28) in Lincoln, Nebraska to Loy Harrison and Hazel Jane (Buckingham) Byers. Homemaker. Ruth was a graduate of Northeast High School where she was a cheerleader. She attended UNL and was a member of Tri Delta Sorority. Ruth married George Williamson in 1948. They loved camping, traveling and socializing with friends. They shared many enjoyable evenings hosting and attending dinner club with their high school friends. Ruth loved to play bridge and was in a bowling league for 25 years.
Family members include daughters: Chris Williamson(Todd), Nancy Kahler (Corey); sons: Scott Williamson (Lisa), all of Lincoln; Alan Williamson (Kim), Penrose, CO; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, husband George.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday (2-17-12) First-Plymouth Congregational Church, 2000 ‘D’ St. Rev. Barb Smisek, officiating.
