Roy D. Houser, 45, Beatrice, died Tuesday (8-12-08) in Beatrice. Born Woodbury, NJ (3-21-1963) to Robert and Reta (Tarrant) Houser. Owner of Grumpy’s Bar at the Beatrice Country Club. U.S. Army Veteran. Avid fan of Husker football and wrestling.
Family members include parents, Robert and Reta Houser, Lincoln; brothers, sister-in-law: Harold Houser, Kearney; Bob and Courtney Houser, Vicksburg, MS; sisters: Stephanie Houser, Omaha; Stacy Mack, Dumphries, VA; Sandy Houser, Lincoln; nieces, nephews: Michael Boyd, K.K., Akriah, Erykah Houser, Lincoln; Gray Houser, Sarah Jacobs Houser, Vicksburg, MS; devoted partner: Ann Kerrey, Lincoln.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday (8-16-08) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ St. Pastor Tom Rempel officiating. Burial in Lincoln Memorial Park with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Army National Guard Honors Team.
Memorials in lieu of flowers to an education fund for nieces and nephews.
Visitation: noon – 9:00 p.m. Friday with family greeting friends from 6:00 pm. – 8:00 p.m., funeral home. Casket will remain closed on Saturday.
