Rosalie Ann “Rosie” Westerhold, 73, Lincoln, NE died September 19, 2024. She was born May 20,1951, in Omaha, NE to Tony and Marian (Greco) Pirruccello.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Ken Westerhold.

She was a retired speech pathologist/audiologist. She was a member of the Corny Bunch quilting group and the Lincoln Quilters Guild.

Family includes: brother, Michael (Carmen) Pirruccello, Elkhorn, NE, stepdaughter Kendra (Chris) Peacock; step-grandchildren Malia and Major, first cousins Jetta King and Jeannae Leininger, along with other cousins and their families; special friend, Barb Breitbach; fur babies, Sasha and Echo.

Memorial service will be Friday, September 27, 2024, with a visitation from 1:30-3:00 PM, and a service at 3:00 PM at Roper & Sons Funeral home, 4300 “O” St., Lincoln, NE.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Lincoln Quilters Guild, St. Benedict Retreat Center in Schuyler, NE, or Houston Chow Chow Connection (HCCC): www.hccchou.org.

Rosie was a very good friend and former LPS Audiology colleague. She and I shared many fun times and laughs over our work adventures. She had a heart of gold and gifted me with two beautiful quilts when my grandchildren were born. My granddaughter would always look for the hidden message (“Grandma loves you”) that Rosie stitched into the quilting. I will treasure these memories but will miss my Rosie conversations and emails.
