Ronald Dosch passed away February 19, 2016. Born September 16, 1945 to Michael and Elizabeth Dosch in Rugby, North Dakota. He attended school in Devils Lake, North Dakota, graduating from St. Mary’s High School in 1963. Ron married his high school sweetheart Sharon Zarr in July 1967.
After serving for four years in the Army Judge Advocate General Corp in Fort Hood Texas, Ron and Sharon returned to Devils Lake, North Dakota to raise their family. Since then they have lived in Fargo, ND, Glendale Az and Lincoln Ne. Some of Ron’s fondest memories are of his time spent playing fast pitch softball with the Knights of Columbus, as well as his time as an active member of the Elks Lodge, the Shriners and the Knights of Columbus. He made many great friends over the years, especially those he worked with every day. Ron’s greatest pride and joy was his family and when he wasn’t working, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, and betting the ponies.
Ron is survived by his wife Sharon, his mother Elizabeth, his brother Daniel, his mother-in-law Helen, daughter Kari (Rodney) Hunt, sons Troy (JoAnn) Dosch and Nathan (Karyn) Dosch, daughter Alicia (Rusty) Lewis, his grandchildren Brianne and Jordan Hunt, Kylie and Alexis Dosch, Jackson and Bennett Dosch, and Alayna Lewis, as well as many close family friends and coworkers and his constant canine companion, Raisin. He is preceded in death by his father Michael and his father-in-law, John Zarr.
A Celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. No visitation/Cremation.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed towards the family.
