Roland E. Leavitt, 81, of Lincoln, passed away February 14, 2019 at the Veterans Home in Bellevue, NE. Born February 20, 1937 in North Platte, NE to Bernard and Laura (Whittington) Leavitt. U. S. Navy Veteran. Received his BS degree in Business Administration from University of Nebraska Lincoln. Ret. Accountant, with Nebraska Pump & Supply.
Roland served as a Master Gardener with the Nebraska Extension and he was a regular volunteer with the planting at Sunken Gardens.
Family members include his wife Charleen; son Shawn Leavitt (David Tran), Philadelphia, PA; daughter Donita Leavitt and grandson Thornton, Miami, FL. Preceded in death by parents and brother Adelbert ‘Del’ Leavitt.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
