Roberta Eileen (Ramsey) Antholz, 67, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, March 26, 2018. After being diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2000, which she battled for years, she lost her life to a different type of cancer. Roberta was born on August 29, 1950 in Tecumseh, NE, to Sam and Mildred (Nichols) Ramsey. She was the youngest of five children. Roberta graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1968.
Roberta married Don Antholz in Tecumseh on August 23, 1969. They were blessed with three children and five grandchildren. She was employed at Ameritas Life Insurance Co. for 14 years before she retired due to health issues. Roberta was a member of Southwood Lutheran Church.
Roberta will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, as she treasured spending time with her family. She cherished attending her grandchildren’s activities. She was very fond of all her children’s dogs. Making friends came easy to Roberta with her warm smile, caring demeanor, laughter, and sense of humor. She loved cooking and baking for her family, reading, playing cards, and attending Nebraska athletic events. Roberta enjoyed traveling and taking day trips, as the sunshine was therapeutic for her. The last few years she looked forward to watching her favorite team, the Kansas City Royals, play spring training baseball games in Phoenix.
Roberta is survived by her husband Don of 48 years; daughters, Becky (Ryan) Hoy of Omaha and Renee (Mitch) Hergenrader of Elkhorn; son Ryan (Kristi) Antholz of Underwood, MN; grandchildren, Ashlyn and Connor Hoy, Reese Hergenrader, Dalton and Drew Antholz, and step-grandchildren Taylor, Jordan, Brady, and Dylan Geihsler; brother-in-law Lyle Terveen of Sioux Falls, SD; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Preceded in death by her daughter Heather; parents; brothers Robert, Kenneth, Keith; sister, Elaine Terveen; and two nieces.
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Thursday (3/29/18) at Southwood Lutheran Church, 4301 Wilderness Ridge Blvd.
Public visitation with family greeting friends: Wednesday (3/28/18) from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Roper & Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Drive (40th and Yankee Hill).
Burial at Grace Lutheran Cemetery, Cook, NE 2:00 p.m. Thursday 3/29/18
