Always ready to lend a hand or fix a broken toy, Rob was a true family man. He fell in love with his wife, Jeanette, through their shared love of camping, cycling and NASCAR. They went on many adventures and built a beautiful life. Jeanette brought four children to the marriage, and, eventually, six grandchildren that adored their Papa Rob. Rob was always “all in” when it came to the family. He was a source of strength and support. And he will be missed dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents Louie and Evelyn (Pieper) Kalmbrunn, brothers Kenneth and Richard Kalmbrunn, and step-daughter, Janet
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette; brothers David and Dennis; nieces Jayme and Kelly; step-children James (Claire), Michael, and Jennifer; grandchildren Cameron, Kattie, Seth, Genesis, Emily, and Violet; great-granddaughter Octavia and a multitude of friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street in Lincoln.
