Robert DeWayne Griffith

Robert DeWayne Griffith, 74, of Lincoln, a loving father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2015. Born Neligh, NE on November 5, 1940 to Frank and Vonda (Edwards) Griffith. Married Sandra K. Howard on April 2, 1961 in Fullerton, NE.

He attended school in Neligh. Employed; Petersons Construction 25 years, Brester Construction, T & M Construction, and retired from Constructors in 2004. He enjoyed stock car racing, metal detecting, Husker football, all sports, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughters, sons-in-law, Jacln and Philip Pickard, Stacyn and David Zimmerman, all of Lincoln; granddaughters, Chantel Griffith and Jennifer Rourk, Maggie Zimmerman; grandsons, Nicholas Pickard, Jacob Zimmerman; brothers, sister-in-law, Frank and Margaret Griffith, Neligh, Larry Griffith, Loup City; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Art Griffith; wife, Sandy; daughter, Robin Griffith; grandchildren, Adam Griffith, Sidney Pickard; great-grandchild, Coby Griffith.

Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m. Monday (6-29-15) Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ Street.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday (6-30-15) St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1621 Superior St. with Pastor Dan Safarik officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation: 2-8 Monday at Roper and Sons.
