As the pastor at the Landing during the years Richard lived there, I always appreciated his determination to live life to the fullest. He was famously stubborn (which may have served him to face his illness with courage & doggedly move forward!). He had a sense of humor and a soft heart in his deepest self. I was honored to have known him…also appreciate his service during the international crisis of WWII. Peace and comfort to his family in these days. He will be missed!

The Knudsens were neighbors of ours on Leisure Lake in Fremont for many years. Always wonderful people to be with, friendly and great fun. We think of those years fondly and view Dick’s loss as the end of an era in many ways. Blessings to the whole family as you grieve, remember and say farewell to your patriarch.

So sorry for your loss. Richard & Sally Knudsen were special people. My mom, Betty Weber was a housekeeper for them many years. My husband is currently in Hospice with terminal cancer so I know what you are all going through. Prayers to you and your family✝️

I did not know Dick Knudsen personally, but my first job as an attorney in Seattle, WA was working for Ken MacDonald, a WWII veteran who served with the 10th Mountain Division. Ken was proud of that heroic unit, and the comrades in arms with whom he served. The 10th Mountain Division was justly famous for its combat exploits. You can Google it. I just want to say, thank you for your service.
