Rev. Dr. Otis E. Young, 78, Lincoln, died Thursday (12-10-09). Born (4-12-31) in Union, Missouri to Otto C. and Irene A. (Barlage) Young. Ret. 2006, Pastor Emeritus, First-Plymouth Congregational UCC, 35 years. During his retirement he worked in Community Relations for Sampson Construction and as an inspector for Pfizer. Otis served on the Doane College Board of Trustees for 37 years and also Saint Elizabeth Hospital and Lincoln General Hospital Boards.
Family members include wife of 55 years, Rowena Young; daughters, sons-in-law: Krista and David Rickman, Lincoln, Caris Kenny and Robert Walker Kenny, Omaha; son, daughter-in-law: Joel and Julie Young, Eden Prairie, MN; grandchildren: Kelly, Megan and Erin Dolan, Robert Young Kenny, Courtney Kreger Kenny, Jason M., Jonathan A., Jacob T. and Justin A. Young; brother, sister-in-law: Marvin and Sue Young, St. Louis, MO; sisters, brothers-in-law: Doris and Howard Moye, Columbus, OH, Lorene Ellerbrake, Syracuse, NE, Sally and Paul Westermeyer, Roseville, MN, Sandra Burke, Mt. Vernon, ILL.
