Becky loved all animals. Her three Jack Russell terriers, Winnie, Tiki, and Russell rocked her world. She was an avid supporter of the University of Nebraska, enjoying Husker sports and the school’s history. You could find her on campus strolling through and at Sheldon Art Gallery. Becky’s bond with her Kappa Alpha Theta sisters was lifelong. As a Theta alum, she contributed significantly to the Corporation Board, serving as President and receiving the Lincoln Theta Alumna Kite Award.
A talented artist, Becky’s creativity shone through in every aspect of her life and work. Recognizing antiques, art, and collectibles was a gift she shared with her family, and her unique collections would delight many. Becky’s spunk, quick wit, astounding sense of humor, devious smile, generosity, and friendship made her one in a million. She will be fondly remembered and live on in the hearts of many, forever.
Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Rob Sherwood; and sister, Gina Sherwood-Klein. Survived by her niece’s Margaret Sherwood Lieber and Jennifer Sherwood Zeleny; brother-in-law, Rick Klein; her beloved Theta Sisters, and friends. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at The Meadows, for her care.
